Another year and another Melbourne Cup race. Turns out luck was on my side and I am now the proud owner of forty buck-a-roos. I'm totally celebrating by buying some pizza on Friday night.

Now to wait for tomorrow and cross my fingers the luck keeps on coming.

So it was all about the Japanese horses this year. It was a tight race with Delta Blues winning and Pop Rocks just a nose away.

It was hilarious watching my mum watch the race with her yelling on her horses. Ends up she gets $16 and dad was one horse away from a trifecta.

You can't not love my country when there was a poll on ninemsn yesterday asking if Melbourne Cup Day should be a national public holiday. Well, those damn Melbournians already have it as a public holiday but I feel the whole of the nation deserves a day off to sit on our arses to watch horses race. Watching the Melbourne Cup Race and having the Band Of Brothers Suite One playing in the background was freakin' cool. I need to make a note to watch more horse races with accompanying music.
